Vaude Launch Exclusive UK Terra Tent Range
VAUDE have launched a new collection of tents called the Terra Range, designed specifically for the UK, based on the tried and tested Taurus and Mark designs.
- Simultaneous pitching i.e. the inner and fly go up as one, so when pitching in the rain the inner won't get wet.
- Extra large porch designs give more internal space so gear can be stored inside in the dry, and there's more space to cook out of the wind.
- Fully seam taped ripstop fly sheet fabric for light weight but abrasion-resistant, tough, waterproof protection.
- The unique tent bag allows whole tent to be compressed down to minimise packed size.
- Aluminium alloy poles, high tech fabric and a lack of unnecessary features give very impressively low weight figures.
- A very competitive price makes these tent ideal for everyone's outdoor adventures.
VAUDE combines regional involvement with climate protection. On November 19th, at an academy of the Children’s Environmental Initiative “Plant for the Planet” held at the company headquarters in Obereisenbach/Germany, 57 children from schools around the area learned how environmental protection and distributive justice are linked.
On November 4, the mountain sports company VAUDE was honored at the German Sustainability Day event in the category “Germany’s most sustainable strategies for the future (KMU)” for its social and ecological sustainability.
On October 14, 2011, the Design Center Stuttgart honored select products with “outstanding, sustainable design”. The outdoor outfitter VAUDE entered this year’s competition with particularly ecological products and was able to celebrate a total of three awards. Daytour, a ski touring backpack, won the International Design Award Baden-Württemberg in Gold, while the Blue One tent and the Serniga sleeping bag were each honored with the “Focus in Silver”.
Europe’s environmentally friendly outdoor supplier VAUDE has been selected as a nominee for the German Sustainability Award 2011. The family-run company located at Lake Constance is one of the Top 3 finalists in the category “Germany’s Most Sustainable Future Strategies” (SME). The award recognizes businesses that address current and future challenges in sustainable development with unique strategies. The winner will be announced during a gala award ceremony on November 4, 2011 on "German Sustainability Day".
The VAUDE bike backpack Tracer 16 clearly convinced the judges: in the red dot design award, one of the most renowned international product competitions, the technical All Mountain backpack has now been awarded the “red dot” seal of quality for high design quality by the jury with its panel of highly respected experts. More than 1,000 guests from the world of design, industry, society and media will celebrate the winners of the red dot design award on 4 July 2011. The VAUDE backpack will then be put on public display during a four-week special exhibition in the red dot design museum.
Vaude’s Power Lizard Ultra Light tent has been named as winner of the Backpacking Tent Category at Camping magazine’s annual awards.
The Camping Magazine Awards (in association with Millets) are judged by a panel of top camping journalists and readers recognising the hard work and innovation that goes into each product. The judging criteria included: value for money; quality of service materials, build and specification; innovation and originality; excellence of design and styling, safety as well as price.
