This natural fibre is produced from wood pulp and comes from sustainable forests, thus conserving valuable resources. The wood used has been given the European seal of approval PEFC (Program of the Endorsement of Forest Certifications Schemes) and the international FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) seal of approval. Its excellent wearing comfort comes from the silky-smooth surface (1) that quickly transports moisture away from the body and inhibits the growth of bacteria (2). No additional chemical treatments are needed to guarantee the high performance.

A UPF rating of 50+ means that a given piece of fabric allows less than 2% (<1/50) of the UV rays that hit it to penetrate through. This is the same as 98% UV protection.

The UV protection is created by the choice of fibres, weave, material thickness or by inserting a titanium dioxide protective screen into the fabric. Titanium dioxide is completely environmentally friendly and has been rated by the EU as harmless.
