Fantastic all round backpacking tent
Rating
I carried this remarkable tent around the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast path. Its remarkable lightness is coupled with a very simple and quick erection. After a long walk the last thing you need is to spend 20 minutes messing around. So this well designed tent allowed me to put it up in well under 5 minutes. Plenty of room inside for your rucksack and all your gear and a great ‘porch’ area where you can cook. The footprint is ideal for those who want to shelter beside a nice hedge out of the way of the eyes of the local farmer.
All in all, a fantastic all round backpacking tent that is roomy enough to be used for every type of camping.

It's good. A modern classic. It now has extra poles at the foot for more space and stability. The rest fo the tent is the same tried and trusted design. Pitching is outsandingly easy thanks to the unique external frame design and the addition of adjustable pegging points. The tent is reasonably stable too.

Like many Vaude tents, the Taurus gets a superb outer door design that uses four zip pullers to allow the doors to be opened in just about any direction. Porch space is good, and two 'sacks could be stowed here. The inner tent space is excellent as two can sit up. Also note you get a slightly heavier-duty grounsheet than other similar tents.

Verdict
Buy it if you want the best value-for-money lightweight tent, where the blend of features make lightweight camping in a variety of conditions comfortable.
