In collaboration with the German National Association for Nature and Forest Kindergartens, Vaude have developed a quality standard for the industry ensuring that forest kindergarten performance demands on clothing and equipment are met.

The knowledge gained about the everyday practices and experiences in a forest kindergarten and the Vaude Child Care Centre flowed directly into the development of their new line of clothing. Vaude's commitment to its onsite child care centre, combined with its cooperation with the National Association for Nature and Forest Kindergartens is embedded in a family-friendly business philosophy. Creating functional and high quality products for the entire family is a top proiority for the Vaude mountain sports professionals

Forest Kindergarten

The normal course of life in a forest kindergarten, where children spend the entire kindergarten day in the outdoors, requires maximal protection from the elements. Our panel of experts elicited the experiences of forest kindergartners and used them to design a special Forest Kindergarten line of products.

Kids Sleeping Bags

Younger as well as older children have different thermal cycles than adults. This means that they also feel temperatures differ-ently, which is difficult or impossible to scientifically determine and measure. The DIN EN 13537 norm was developed mainly for adult use. This is why we do not specify temperature ratings for our children and baby sleeping bags.

Our baby sleeping bags have been primarily conceived for use in a children‘s buggy or pram. Outside temperatures can vary tremendously and children should always be dressed accordingly
